1. 27 tools, all free, no signup
Merge, split, remove pages, compress, and convert to and from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPG, PNG, HTML, and EPUB — plus a PDF editor, a real redaction tool, password protection, unlocking, watermarking, e-signature, and image tools. All of it works without creating an account.
2. "Free" means free, not a trial with a countdown
No five-file daily cap, no watermark stamped across your output as the price of not paying, no feature quietly moved behind a paywall after launch. The free tools are the actual product, not a funnel toward Pro.
3. Pro is about what happens after you hit send
The free tools handle creating and converting documents. Pro handles what happens once a document leaves your hands: invisible fingerprinting on every Guarded document, so a leaked copy traces back to who it was sent to; instant revocation, even after it's been opened; burn-after-read view limits and expiry dates; geofencing by country; photo verification on open; and one-click legal evidence export if a leak needs to be traced.
4. Document analytics for anything you send
Pro also includes real analytics on Guarded documents — views, shares, which countries opened them, and exact timestamps — visible from your dashboard, not just a vague "someone opened this" notification.
5. Files are processed and deleted, not archived
Every upload runs over TLS in transit. Files are processed to complete whatever tool you're using, then deleted — not kept around, not used to train any AI model, ours or anyone else's. The full detail is on the Security page.
6. Real AES-256 encryption where encryption is claimed
Password Protect PDF applies genuine AES-256 encryption, independently verified against an open-source PDF library during development — not just our own code checking its own work.
7. Built to be honest about what's actually built
If a feature isn't built yet, it's labeled "coming soon" rather than listed as if it already works.
